The Backpack Project 2021
About
Our Advocacy Committee organized the Backpack Project during Spring 2021 to provide care packages for individuals and students experiencing houselessness in the greater Los Angeles area. Throughout the quarter, our Bruin Shelter volunteers assembled 500 care packages, each including toiletries, first aid supplies, snacks, and COVID-19 information guides inside backpacks. Adhering to COVID-19 safety guidelines, volunteers then delivered the care packages to a number of organizations in the Los Angeles area for distribution. Check out these photos from our team!
