Staying at Bruin Shelter

Currently, we do not have a physical shelter in active operation.

Please contact Trojan Shelter or Student Mojo for assistance with finding shelter resources. Feel free to reach out to us as well, and we can direct you to the proper resources!

If you are a college student between the ages of 18-24 and experiencing housing insecurity, please apply to stay at Bruin Shelter. We're run entirely by UCLA students who aim to provide a safe and supportive space.

Our shelter is open 7pm-7am each day Sunday through Saturday, and residents may remain on-site longer on the weekends. Beds with individual storage lockers are available for each resident. Freshly cooked dinners are prepared by the staff, and breakfast items can be grabbed to go. We are right on the Big Blue Bus line which is convenient for transportation. We also have a case management team of UCLA medical students and MSW students who help attend to our residents’ needs, help with navigating healthcare, and assist in transitioning all residents to permanent, stable housing by the end of their stay at Bruin Shelter. We do our most to help each resident in this individual-centric approach.
